Position Summary: RMIL is seeking a skilled and dependable Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our Night Shift respiratory care team. The Respiratory Therapist provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and emergency respiratory care services to patients of all ages in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols. This role requires schedule flexibility and participation in an every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday rotation. Key Responsibilities: Administer respiratory therapy treatments, oxygen, and aerosolized medications as prescribed. Set up, operate, and monitor ventilators and other life-support systems. Perform arterial blood gas sampling, analysis, and documentation. Assess patient respiratory status and adjust therapy as clinically indicated. Respond to emergency codes and provide airway management support. Maintain accurate records of therapy, assessments, and interventions in the EMR. Clean and maintain respiratory therapy equipment according to infection-control policies. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Qualifications: Active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License - Illinois - required BLS (AHA) - required ACLS (AHA) - preferred Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program - required Minimum 2 years of recent acute-care or hospital respiratory therapy experience - required per company policy Flexibility with scheduling; no block schedules permitted - required Shift Details: Type: Regular / Non-Per Diem Shift: Nights - 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (12-hour shift) Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday required Setting: Inpatient / Acute-Care Hospital
