Industrial Hygienist (CAC or CSST Required)Position OverviewThe Industrial Hygienist supports environmental health and safety programs with a focus on asbestos, lead, mold, and general occupational exposure assessments. This role requires a current CAC or CSST certification, strong field skills, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to clients, contractors, and internal teams. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, able to work independently, and committed to maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance and worker protection.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct asbestos, lead, mold, and hazardous materials inspections in accordance with federal, state, and local regulationsPerform air monitoring, bulk sampling, and exposure assessments during abatement, renovation, and demolition activitiesOversee abatement projects to ensure contractor compliance with project specifications and safety requirementsMaintain accurate field notes, chain of custody documentation, and sample submissionsPrepare written reports including analytical summaries, exposure evaluations, and recommendationsCommunicate findings and regulatory requirements to clients, contractors, and project managersMaintain and calibrate industrial hygiene equipmentSupport additional EHS programs such as indoor air quality assessments, noise monitoring, and hazard evaluationsStay current with changes in asbestos, lead, and occupational health regulationsRequired QualificationsCurrent CAC or CSST certificationExperience conducting asbestos surveys, air monitoring, or abatement oversightWorking knowledge of AHERA, OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulationsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in field environments including construction sites and confined spacesValid drivers license and reliable transportationPreferred QualificationsBachelors degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related fieldAdditional certifications such as Lead Inspector/Assessor, Mold Assessor, or HAZWOPER 40 hourExperience with project management or client communicationFamiliarity with data collection tools and report writing software
