This position will spend approximately 2-3 hours in direct face to face testing time per patient and then an additional 30-60 minutes scoring and providing comparison norms to support the neuropsychologist in interpreting assessment results. Typical Duties: * Administers a broad spectrum of tests and assessment protocols under the general supervision of a psychologist or neuropsychologist. * Evaluates and responds to patient needs during evaluation; manages patient behavior during assessment sessions and controls the testing environment to ensure validity of results. * Consults with staff or neuropsychologist when necessary regarding unusual patient needs and/or special accommodations during evaluation. * Scores psychological and neuropsychological measures according to normative standards and clinical protocols using test manuals and/or computer scoring programs. * Records and compiles a summary of patient assessment results. Provides thorough documentation of observations about patient behavior during testing; assists with quality control. * Attends to routine administrative details relating to operation of a psychological clinic. * Assists in teaching trainees proper methods of test administration and scoring, how to record observations, and how to respond to patient needs or behavior management issues during testing sessions. * Assists with research projects. Participates in consultations with other research assessment specialists and in processing and reporting of research data. Participates in constructing or setting up research-related psychological assessment protocols. * Performs other duties as assigned.
