Schedule: No weekends + flexible schedules (4x10s)***New grads or current Radiologic Technologist students are encouraged to apply.***Position SummaryThe Radiologic Technologist is a key member of the care team, responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures in support of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role collaborates closely with clinical staff to meet Care Center needs, operates within the defined scope of practice, and carries out responsibilities under the direction of Clinical Leadership.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe key duties and responsibilities of the Radiologic Technologist include, but are not limited to:Maintaining knowledge of radiation equipment, including the routine maintenance and care of equipmentPerform radiologic examinations following Care Center protocolsOperating radiologic and PACS equipmentProper patient positioning Calculating exposure factors and applying principles of radiation protectionEvaluates procedure room and imaging equipment for technical quality and stores images according to policy and guidelinesMaintains documentation, reports, and files in the Electronic Medical RecordCoordinate burning of discs or printing image QR codes for provider/patient needs Calculates and regulates equipment using established technique, knowledge, and skillAssists patients with pre and post procedures according to facility policy and established guidelinesAssists with housekeeping tasks as necessary to provide a safe environment for patients, team members, physicians, guestsAssist other personnel as directed by Leadership TeamEducation/ExperienceHigh School Diploma or its EquivalentCurrent American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registrationCurrent WA State Radiologic Technologist (WSRT) certificationClinical radiology experience preferred, but new grads are welcome to applySuccessful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment required or documentation of current BCLS certificationKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong customer service and interpersonal skills demonstrating patience, composure, and cooperation; working well with all patients, physicians and staff.Understanding of and adherence to all safety, risk management and precautionary procedures, including the consistent respect for confidentiality (HIPAA)Using time efficiently, with meticulous attention to detail, accuracy and completionAble to adapt to change, delays or unexpected events while maintaining a positive mindsetAbility to remove oneself personally from given situations, remaining objectiveClear oral and written communicationAbility to follow established guidelines and detailed instructions with accuracy Works effectively with minimal supervision, applying a solution-oriented approach to challenges Work Environment/Physical DemandsThe work environment/physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a teammate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
