Clinic Radiologic Technologist - PRN

Duties/Responsibilities: * Prepares room, equipment and materials as needed for patients. * Prepares patients for X-ray; explains procedures, transfers patients to table, positions patients and assists patients at the end of the procedure. * Follows prescribed techniques in administration of general and specific X-rays. Adjusts equipment, determines proper voltage, current and desired exposure time; arranges immobilization and support devices to obtain desired position of patient; adjusts lead shield; and selects proper film. * Develops film in accordance with photographic techniques. * Observes patient and machine during procedure and reports unusual occurrences and records patient's condition. * Maintains stock supplies and performs general office duties; writes reports. * When there are no radiologic tasks to be performed, assists office coordinator and clinical personnel with placing patients in clinic rooms, filing, or providing other clerical backup as appropriate. * Complies with the policies and procedures established by the clinic and by Lane Regional Medical Center. * Performs other duties as assigned.
