Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Special Procedures unit, requiring 3-5 years of IR or cardiovascular tech experience and an active NJ radiographic license.Job Details• Hospital-based Interventional Radiology Special Procedures unit,• Procedures include complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases,• Uses floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic modality machines, power injectors for iodinated contrast media, and Sectra/PACS imaging system,• Charting performed in Epic EMR,• Schedule is 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week (Mon-Fri), with hours spanning 7:00 AM-8:00 PM on a flexed schedule,• 40 hours per week,• May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital,Job Requirements• 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) with NJ radiographic licensure,• Active NJ Radiographic License required; license required if applicable,• Current ARRT (R) certification required,• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) with skills demonstration required,• High school diploma/GED and an Associate degree, or completion of an accredited radiographic program,• Must possess NJ radiographic licensure to operate x-ray fluoroscopic modalities - CVT experience alone is not sufficient,• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible,• 2 professional references required for consideration,Additional Information• Responsibilities include scrubbing side-by-side with specialty proceduralists during complex vascular and neuro-interventional cases,• Must be able to identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products during interventional procedures,• Responsible for setting up and maintaining sterile procedural trays and upholding infection prevention protocols,• Performs groin management post-intervention,• Collaborates within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons,• Strong closed-loop communication skills and critical thinking during complex cases are essential,• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
