Job Title: Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) Location: Plymouth, MN Schedule: Full-time | Day Shift Preferred | Rotating Weekend (Every 4th Weekend) Setting: Long-Term Care Pharmacy Work Type: Onsite Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to serve as the clinical and regulatory leader of a growing long-term care pharmacy. This role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations while supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality pharmaceutical services for long-term care facilities.The PIC will act as the designated pharmacist with the Board of Pharmacy and play a key role in operational oversight, team leadership, and clinical collaboration. Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory & Compliance OversightServe as the designated Pharmacist-in-Charge per Board of Pharmacy requirementsEnsure compliance with all state and federal regulations (DEA, Board of Pharmacy, CMS)Oversee controlled substance management and inventory complianceMaintain pharmacy licenses, documentation, and regulatory readinessEnsure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standardsImplement and manage quality assurance programs for long-term care pharmacy servicesClinical & Operational SupportCollaborate with physicians, nurses, and facility staffProvide medication therapy consultation for long-term care residentsSupport safe medication use and clinical decision-makingAssist with workflow oversight and daily pharmacy operationsParticipate in staffing coverage as neededSupport the team during high-volume or short-staffed situations Schedule & Work StructureFull-time positionPrimarily daytime schedule5-day work week preferredRotating weekend coverage (approximately every 4th weekend)Occasional additional coverage as needed Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Licensure: Active Minnesota Pharmacist license in good standingEligible to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of pharmacist experiencePrior long-term care pharmacy experience requiredPrevious PIC or leadership experience required Preferred SkillsStrong understanding of long-term care pharmacy workflowsKnowledge of geriatric pharmacotherapyExperience with pharmacy management systemsStrong regulatory and compliance expertiseExcellent organizational and leadership abilitiesAbility to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Additional NotesLong-term care experience is requiredCandidates must be currently based in Minnesota (no relocation support available)This is a growth-oriented opportunity with strong leadership potential
