Job DescriptionComprehensive Behavioral Healthcare, a Porch Light Health company, is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach/Peer Support Specialist for our Lakewood Colorado Location. Porch Light Health is a local leader in outpatient treatment of Opioid Use Disorders and other addictive disorders. We are looking for people who are willing to work in a fast paced medical environment.Principal Duties and Personal Attributes as a Peer Recovery Coach:The Peer Recovery Coach will work closely with program directors and counselors, to help patients receiving medication assisted treatment, to overcome barriers that limit their ability to receive maximum therapeutic benefit from services. Peer Recovery Coach will also support patients in identifying and connecting to available resources within the community that will best support their recovery efforts. We are looking for people who are willing to work in a fast paced medical environment.Qualifications: High school diploma or GED requiredAbility to work with a diverse group of individualsExperience working with or in tandem with peer support networksPeer Coaching or Peer Support Specialist Certification, Required (CCAR, CPSW)Essential Functions:Assist individuals with recovery planning, relapse prevention, housing needs, andeducation/employmentPerform outreach and engagement into local evidence-based treatment for people experiencing substance misuse.Create meaningful and lasting relationships with individuals with substance misuse seeking treatment and understand their needs to assist them in being linked to the appropriate treatment resources.Facilitate peer recovery support services, in a group and/or individual settings.Partner with treatment providers, hospital Emergency Departments, harm reduction organizations, support services, law enforcement, and other partners to educate each about the availability of treatment and ensure effective linkage to services from the community.Exhibit a nonjudgmental approach, listen with empathy, and have the ability to support people indiscovering their own solutionsExperience:Lived experience of recovery from substance misuse for a minimum of 1 year.Completion of minimum 60 hours of peer recovery coach training or willingness to complete this training within 6 months of employment requiredA person who has utilized medication assisted treatment/recovery and who is actively participating in his/her chosen pathway of recovery required.Job Type: Full-Time M-F 6:00am - 2:00pm, in clinic Benefits:401(k)VisionHealthDentalPTOAnticipated Application Window - This role is anticipated to close within 30 days from the date of posting.
