We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you'll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.Minimum Requirements:Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).Current Massachusetts state licensure in Respiratory Therapy in good standing.Current BLS certification.Experience with ventilator management, including initiating ventilatory support, recommending ventilator settings, lung protective strategies, and weaning patients.Ability to perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs), bedside spirometry, and capnography.Experience with non-invasive ventilation and therapeutic gas administration (oxygen, Heliox, high-flow oxygen therapy).Competence in airway management skills including naso-tracheal, endotracheal and tracheostomy suctioning, tracheostomy assessment and maintenance, and assisting with tracheostomy tube changes.Ability to assist with intubations, conscious sedation support, bronchoscopy assistance, and to attend Codes and Rapid Response Teams.Working knowledge of patient monitors used in acute care settings and ability to monitor patients during intrahospital transport.Minimum one year of critical care experience preferred.Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.Preferred: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).Assignment DetailsFacility type: Hospital.Primary specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist.Shift name: Nights.Shift details: Nights 1900-0700, 3x12.Standard hours per week: 36.Assignment duration: 13 Week travel assignment.Candidates must be able to work in acute care areas including ICU, ER, med/surg, and assist in procedural areas as needed.Location Highlights Hyannis, MA offers coastal access and year-round recreation opportunities.
