Dual Specialists possess a desire to review client firm legal and marketing documents and the ability to provide technical expertise to assignments and mentorship to both Document Specialists and clients. This is a hybrid position based at Opensity's newly remodeled Phoenix office and will work the hours of 8:00a.m to 7:00p.m Saturday to Tuesday.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesCreate, revise, reformat, and convert documents using various support software including Microsoft Office applications, PDF editing tools, and transcription softwarePrepare and edit complex documents, spreadsheets, chartsProvide coordination and administrative support for special projectsEfficient handling of time sensitive and confidential materialsPerform document diagnostic activities related to troubleshooting documents inconsistenciesTranscribes audio and digital dictation including deposition transcripts as requiredSpell check, proofread and/or cross-check documents to ensure accuracy and completenessProofread documents for errors in typing, spelling, grammar, syntax, punctuation and formattingSupport coordination efforts of incoming and outgoing work as necessaryMaintain up-to-date knowledge of specialized applications and upgrades in order to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity with the Document Services applicationsProvide feedback and insight into each team member's performances when requestedPromote and encourage teamwork, confidence, and positive attitudesProvide directions, instructions, and guidance to the teamAssist with reviewing re-works or poor job outputs from team membersQualifications & RequirementsHS Diploma or GED, associate or bachelor's degree preferred3+ years working in document outsourcing or legal industry preferredAbility to learn the responsibilities listed above through a combination of in-person training, remote training, and self-guided learningCopywriting experience helpfulStrong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervisionWorking knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Experience working with Adobe Acrobat or Kofax for the manipulation of PDF files a plusExcellent skills in spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure and proofreadingKnowledge of current formats and citation protocols: The Chicago Manual of Style, The Bluebook and California Style ManualKnowledge of proofing marks and proceduresKnowledge of working with the AP style guideExperience with following and memorizing corporate brand guidelinesAbility to work through complex document markups and instructions in a timely mannerAbility to organize and prioritize multiple assignmentsAbility to excel under pressure within established timeframe and provide quality work productPossess strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork and customer service skillsThe Compensation range for this role is up to 26.00 USD per hour and may be eligible for an annual bonus.
