Job Summary The research assistant will undertake functionality testing and possible refurbishment of two instruments: a 1.6K bolometer and the SHARCII camera. Essential Job Duties Modest mechanical design and assembly work Opening and closing of cryostats Cooldown of cryostats to liquid helium temperature and pumping on liquid helium bath Testing of detectors Measurement of response to optical sources Measurement of noise Perform other related duties as assigned Basic Qualifications Basic programming skills in python Some lab experience Preferred Qualifications Experience with liquid cryogenics Required Documents CV
