Title: Lab Technician - Plastics ManufacturerLocation: Rochester, NY 14606Salary: $55,000 - $65,000Founded in the 1990s we are a 100 employee manufacturer operating from a single 60,000 square foot facility in Rochester. We specialize in precision injection molding, tooling, and engineered plastic components serving medical device manufacturers, automotive suppliers, industrial OEMs, and consumer product companies. At this location, the team manages full lifecycle production including mold design, tool room operations, molding, inspection, metrology, and quality validation. The Lab Technician will support quality operations by performing measurement, testing, documentation, and verification activities that ensure parts meet customer and regulatory requirements.What You Will Be DoingPerform dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, CMM equipment, and other precision metrology toolsConduct capability studies, measurement system evaluations, gage R&R, and data collection to support PPAP, IQ/OQ/PQ, and customer qualification requirementsPrepare and maintain documentation packages including inspection reports, test records, calibration logs, and CNC measurement documentationSupport Quality Engineers and Inspectors by validating gages, assisting with calibration activities, and ensuring all measurement equipment is properly maintained and traceableReview part layouts, assist with troubleshooting dimensional discrepancies, and provide accurate measurement data to engineering and quality teamsWhat You Need for this PositionExperience in injection molding, plastics manufacturing, or a similar production environmentStrong proficiency with measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and CMM equipmentUnderstanding of PPAP, capability studies, SPC, and basic statistical analysis; familiarity with Minitab is preferredAbility to read blueprints and interpret GD&T requirements with accuracy and attention to detailStrong documentation, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to support fast-paced quality operationsWhat's In It for YouFull Benefits Package (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, LTD/STD, 401k w/ matching) and more!IF interested can you provide an updated resume & salary requirements to JOSH.REIFMAN@
