Respite Sitter- Seasonal Summer

Compensation:Competitive pay of $20 to $24 per hour, plus an additional $3 per hour for each additional siblingConsistent placements with families (weekday daytime, afternoons, and/or evenings)Weekend shifts with consistent families (typically 4-hour shifts; option to work up to 2 shifts per day for more hours)Flexible “on-call” shifts with varied families—work when you want by self-selecting open assignments through our My Jovie AppLooking for a flexible, rewarding seasonal opportunity working with kids? Join our team as a Seasonal Summer Sitter and make a difference in the lives of children and families!We’re looking for engaging, creative, and child-focused individuals who enjoy play, reading, arts & crafts, outdoor activities, and hands-on fun in family homes. This is a great opportunity for those with open daytime availability and a desire to gain meaningful childcare experience.What We’re Looking For:Childcare or nanny experience preferredSpecial needs experience in any capacity is a big plus (siblings, volunteering, friends, etc.)Childcare references from paid or unpaid experienceAvailability for part-time or full-time schedules, with 4-hour shifts between:Weekdays: 12 pm – 8 pm (daytime availability highly preferred)Weekends: 8 am – 6 pmReliable and insured transportation to travel to various family homesCell phone with data to accept and manage assignmentsWorking Conditions & Requirements:Active, kid-centric environment including play, activities, and clean-upTime spent outdoors, weather permitting (parks, walks, backyard play, etc.)Fast-paced, engaging environment supporting children’s needsEssential Physical Requirements:Regular lifting, bending, squatting, reaching, and pushingAbility to lift 35 pounds safelyAbility to get up and down from the floor frequentlyAbility to react quickly to various situationsAbility to respond to emergent situations calmly, safely, and effectivelyOur most fulfilling roles involve working with amazing children from multiple families!
