This is a consistent part-time opportunity with guaranteed hours, focused on evening and weekend support.The family has a full-time nanny during the week and is looking to add an additional caregiver who can provide attentive, specialized care for their 13-year-old child with special needs. The ideal candidate is patient, engaged, and experienced in supporting children with diverse needs.Key Responsibilities:Provide attentive, compassionate care and supervision tailored to the child's unique needsCommunicate effectively with a nonverbal childAssist with feeding and provide diapering/toileting supportPrepare and assist with child-friendly meals and snacksSupport and follow an established bedtime routineEngage the child in meaningful, creative, and age-appropriate activitiesMaintain a calm, safe, and structured environmentQualifications:Prior experience working with children, including those with special needs, is requiredPatient, empathetic, and nurturing approachAbility to follow established routines while adapting to individualized care needsStrong communication skills and professionalismCPR and First Aid certification requiredReliable, punctual, and trustworthyDriver desired, but not required.
