Job Overview The Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory care and life support to patients with abnormalities and deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system by prescription and under the supervision of a physician. This position is per diem. Responsibilities * Obtains physician's order 100% of the time prior to initiating therapy.•Able to appropriately assess all patients before and after therapy is delivered 100% of the time. •Sets up all routine therapy modalities according to policy and procedure 100% of the time. •Able to set up and monitor all life support equipment according to policy and procedure 100% of the time. •Able to set up and perform EKG's on patients in a timely fashion. •Able to perform all POCT including controls, proficiencies and documentation. Maintain all State and Joint Commission requirements for licensing and accreditation This is not an all-inclusive list of this job's responsibilities.
