Job Description

Join a dynamic Radiology team providing essential imaging services in a well-equipped medical center located in Tacoma, WA. This travel opportunity is ideal for experienced Radiologic Technologists seeking to work in a fast-paced environment with advanced imaging technology. Responsibilities: Perform General X-Ray procedures including portable X-rays, department, and emergency room imaging. Operate and maintain equipment from leading manufacturers such as GE, Siemens, and Shimadzu. Collaborate with other X-Ray techs during shifts to ensure quality patient care. Utilize McKesson PACS and EPIC systems for image archiving and communication. Adhere to all safety protocols related to radiation exposure without the provision of radiation badges by the facility. Participate in a department-specific orientation including two hours with the manager and two weeks of staff mentorship. Work scheduled shifts Wednesday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with minimal on-call responsibilities. Qualifications and Experience: Hold a current WA State Department of Health Imaging License and ARRT registration. Valid BLS certification required. Minimum one year of radiology technologist experience preferred. Experience in a large, fast-paced hospital setting desirable. Must not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility within the past year. Must have WA state license in hand prior to assignment. Radiation badge responsibility lies with the traveler's employer; facility does not provide. Work Environment & Equipment: Radiology department with 4 X-ray rooms, 4 portable units, and 2 fluoroscopy rooms. In-house radiologists onsite 8 AM to 5 PM; offsite radiologists after hours. No IV starts or float assignments outside of general X-ray duties. Scrubs are provided.
