Investment Banking Associate, Biopharma

Job Title: Investment Banking AssociateReports to: Head of Investment BankingDepartment: Investment BankingLocation: San FranciscoSalary Range: $175,000-$225,000The Associate will be a key member of an experienced team building a world-class investment banking practice focused on healthcare and life science companies. The successful candidate will participate in all aspects of originating, structuring, and executing financings and M&A transactions for clients across all sectors. This position offers direct client CEO and CFO contact, significant responsibility and opportunity for advancement. The ideal candidate will have previous healthcare investment banking experience at the Associate level.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:• Play a lead role in all aspects of execution of investment banking transactions • Assist in preparation of presentations for current and prospective clients• Perform and supervise preparation of valuation analyses of clients and targets• Perform due diligence investigationsExperience and Qualifications Required:• +4 years of investment banking experience, healthcare related transactions preferred• Exemplary academic record; finance and life sciences undergraduate experience preferred; MBA is a plus• Financial modeling and analytical skills are necessary, including knowledge of financial accounting• Outstanding written and oral communication skills• Highly motivated, energetic, personable and capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic, meritocratic work environmentAbout Leerink Partners, LLCLeerink Partners is a leading investment bank providing a complete suite of financial solutions comprising M&A advisory, equity, debt, and derivative capital markets, equity research, and sales and trading capabilities.
