Join the PANTHERx team, and define your own RxARE future in healthcare!Location: Pittsburgh, PA (onsite)Classification: Non-Exempt Status: Temporary Reports to: Director, Fulfillment ServicesPurposeThe Fulfillment Pharmacy Intern performs their internship duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist (preceptor) as allowed by federal and state law. The Fulfillment pharmacy intern abides by PANTHERx Specialty Pharmacy policy, and in accordance with the Doctor of Pharmacy requirements of their institution of learning. ResponsibilitiesAssists with resolving processing errors or missing information. Supports the fulfillment queue by selecting the correct medications, strengths, and quantities for dispensing. Prepares and label medications according to regulatory and company standards.Receives routine product or service problems and refers to appropriate department for handling.Participates in internal audits and process improvement- initiatives. Validates shipping labels and verify carrier instructions.Picks, packs, and ships orders for patient delivery. Assists pharmacist(s) on special project(s) as assigned. Required QualificationsPennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy Intern Certification Good standing in an accredited School of Pharmacy Minimum course equivalency of first professional year of college of pharmacy Maximum course equivalency of second professional year of college of pharmacy Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a pharmacy fulfillment environment. When in-office this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, see, talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Visual acuity is necessary for tasks such as reading, observing surroundings, and working with various forms of data on a screen. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
