Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Day Shift | 13-Week Contract Location: Bradenton, Florida 34208 Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Schedule: Day Shift | 3 x 12-Hour Shifts per Week Position Type: Travel / Contract Assignment Position Summary The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides comprehensive respiratory care services under physician direction for neonatal and adult patient populations. The therapist performs diagnostic evaluation, therapeutic treatment, patient education, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation while maintaining high standards of patient safety and clinical excellence across multiple care settings. Key Responsibilities Administer respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians. Perform diagnostic cardiopulmonary evaluations, including: Collection and analysis of physiological specimens Interpretation of physiologic and pulmonary data Cardiopulmonary testing and monitoring Manage and monitor patients requiring: Mechanical ventilatory support Artificial airway management Medical gas administration Bronchopulmonary hygiene therapies Respiratory pharmacologic treatments Provide respiratory care across NICU and Adult Care units. Apply established treatment protocols and clinical technologies across all care areas. Assist with cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and hemodynamic cardiovascular support. Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff regarding respiratory therapies and disease processes. Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Required Experience Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience. Required experience in NICU and Adult patient care. Experience with Dräger ventilators required. Experience using Cerner EMR required. Strong independent clinical judgment and communication skills. Required Certifications & Licensure Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required (CRT candidates will not be accepted) Active Florida Respiratory Therapist License required. Current certifications: BLS – Basic Life Support ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program Work Environment Acute care hospital setting Care provided to neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations Fast-paced clinical environment requiring strong critical thinking and adaptability Day shift schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts weekly
