Exciting opportunity for a skilled Occupational Therapy professional to support students in a school setting in Oakland, CA. This contract position offers either a .6 FTE Occupational Therapist or a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) role, available ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY). Key Responsibilities: Provide occupational therapy services tailored to the needs of school-aged children. Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Conduct evaluations, progress monitoring, and maintain detailed documentation. Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills essential for academic success. Qualifications: Current California license or certification as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Experience working in school-based settings preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and school staff. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently. Location: Position based in Oakland, CA, servicing the local school community.
