Responsibilities include: * Administering contrast per protocol under direction of the proceduralist. * Demonstrating proper patient positioning and radiographic techniques during all interventional procedures. * Reviewing patient history, assessing physician orders, and applying department-specific protocols. * Documenting relevant patient information in the electronic medical record. * Maintaining a sterile and safe environment during procedures, including time-out protocols. * Clearly communicating instructions and educating patients to reduce anxiety and encourage cooperation. * Ensuring accurate coding, image tracking, and charge entry in RIS and PACS systems. * Displaying professionalism and empathy in all interactions with patients and coworkers. * Collaborating effectively with team members across departments to support efficient patient care. * Assisting with general radiographic procedures in other areas, as needed. Qualifications: * Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: * ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist is required. * CPR or BLS Required. * CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. * ARRT Certificate * Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) * Act 34 UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
