Position Type: Non-Certified Student Support ServicesDate Posted: 3/24/2026Location: Student and Family Engagement DepartmentDistrict: Waterford School DistrictPosition: Behavior Support Specialist(10 month position)Location: Multiple Buildings Minimum Qualifications:Associates and/or Bachelor's Degree recommended; or equivalent applicable experienceExperience with behavior intervention techniquesTrained in or willing to be trained in non-violent crisis interventionsExcellent communication skillsAbility to problem solveEssential Functions: Able to assist with the development and implementation of classroom and individual behavior plansAble to deescalate student who are in a state of crisisMeet with students whose behavior warrants intervention and develop individualized behavior tracking and intervention programsWork with staff on issues such as: crisis intervention, learning and collaboration issues, and factors that can affect development and implementation of interventionsMaintain timely and accurate records and files consistent with department policies and proceduresAble to provide one on one support to studentsAble to provide group support to studentsMaintains strong communication with families and staffReports To: Behavior Support Leader Workday/Week: Monday - Friday7 hours per day Starting Date: TBD Compensation: $22.12 per hour Posting Date: January 12, 2026 Posting Deadline: Until Filled Internal and external candidates may apply by visiting and selecting the icon "Employment" and next, "Job Postings Directory".
