Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support in a clinical setting, ensuring smooth operation and superior patient care. Responsibilities + Perform follow-up tasks and update patient records through data entry. + Answer inbound phone calls and manage communication effectively. + Order labs and relay lab results to the relevant parties. + Schedule follow-up appointments and manage patient care efficiently. Essential Skills + Minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical Assisting. + High School Diploma is required. + Proficiency in using EMR systems, specifically Athena. + Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Medical Assisting diploma or certification is preferred. + Experience with appointment scheduling and patient care. + Strong customer service skills and ability to support clinical operations. + BLS certification and familiarity with insurance processes are advantageous. Work Environment The position is based onsite at a clinic, working Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
