Assists patients with activities; attends to the patient behavioral problems and provides assistance in crisis intervention, as needed. A Mental Health Worker should be compassionate and very patient. Must be even-tempered, can solve crisis and work as a team member.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Facilitate groups and activities as scheduledProvides crisis intervention/assistance as neededCompletes documentation requirementsObserve and communicate any changes of condition or behavior to the appropriate charge nurse and nursing supervisorProvide 1:1 counseling sessions with residents as behavioral needs requireAssists with monitoring floor/hallways, and 1:1 monitoring as neededOther tasks as assignedQualifications:At least one year of previous work with mental health experience is desiredHigh school diploma or GEDBachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferredBenefits:Medical insurance with Rx benefitsDental insuranceVision carePaid vacationSalary: $24.00/hr* *The salary range is the one that Hollywood Premier Healthcare Center reasonably expects to pay for this position.
