OverviewAnsible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting full-time and Locum Tenens, 1099 Emergency Physicians for service at the Jennifer Moreno VA Medical Center located at 3350 La Jolla Village Dr, San Diego, CA 92161. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers’ success as if it is their own.ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care 100% of the time in the EDEvaluate, treat, and manage a wide range of emergent conditions including:Trauma, cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, OB/GYN, GI, endocrine, infectious, and musculoskeletal emergenciesPerform minor and major procedures (e.g., suturing, intubation, central line placement, chest tube insertion)Stabilize and transfer patients requiring higher levels of careReview inpatient admissions and consultsApply orthopedic devices and manage medications per VA policyProvide discharge education and coordinate follow-up careInitiate social work referrals for homeless or high-risk patientsAttend staff meetings (monthly, if shift coincides)Participate in quality improvement activitiesComplete documentation in VA’s EHR system (CPRS)Ensure timely completion of progress notes and codingReport patient safety incidents within 24 hoursMaintain compliance with HIPAA and VA privacy standardsQualificationsBoard Certification in Emergency Medicine (preferred) or Board Certification or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State or TerritoryCurrent DEA licenseCurrent American Heart Association BLS and ACLSMust be able to pass a Federal background investigation (National Agency Check with Written Inquiries)No sponsorship available All candidates must be able to: Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist Lift up to 20 lbs Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance Push/pull with 30 lbs of force All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
