Work requires the capacity for considerable clerical growth, for mastery of more difficult and demanding work, within a reasonable orientation period, must work with considerable independence of action and judgment. The variety of work differs among positions, but where the work is more repetitive there is an additional responsibility for finality of action. Work may include the operation of standard office equipment for which no previous training is required.ResponsibilitiesPrepares documents in a manner which will ensure successful scanning of assigned work. Preparation includes, but is not limited to: removing staples, unbending pages, repairing tears, sequential ordering, applying bar codes, verifying records accurately and in accordance with established production rate, policies and procedures. Performs quality control measures on scanned documentation for review of accuracy, error resolution, legibility and completeness. Ensures highest standards of quality control electronic images for quality and accuracy. Performs imaging correction request discovered at staff level. Maintains confidentiality of records, files and documents according to JHS policies and standards. Operates scanning equipment by manually feeding batched documents into machinery so as to minimize rescans; clear jammed or double-fed papers. Reviews each scanned image in software and determine if all key words and document type were automatically indexed appropriately from the document; manually index any key words and document type not assigned using software. Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise). Performs all other related job duties as assigned.ExperienceGenerally requires 0 to 3 years of related experience.EducationHigh School diploma is required.SkillAbility to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with critical thinking and professional composure. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment.
