Assistant Director of Nursing

Bethany Gardens Skilled Living Center - SNF seeking Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to work closely with the DON in directing the daily functions & overseeing the Nursing Department. This includes assuring that the overall supervision of all nursing personnel with regard to resident care and ensuring compliance with all federal, state and facility regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.   Job Description: 1. Must have great communication, organization & written skills 2. Must have a passion in nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both. 3. Ability to work with Supervisors, Unit-Managers, LPN’s, C.N.A.’s & other facility staff to oversee the performance of duties. 4. Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position/assignment. Able to rotate sometimes. 5. Knowledge & experience in leading the infection control program 6. Will conduct education & training as necessary to ensure staff is In-Serviced on numerous topics to ensure compliance. 7. Will conduct Orientation classes as necessary to train new staff . 8. Able to administer treatment to patients as necessary.   QUALIFICATIONS: Registered Nurse licensed in the State of employment Preferably 3-5 years of management experience Minimum of two years additional education or experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing and one year of nursing services administration. CPR certified Understanding of Medicare guidelines.
