This role is ideal for a skilled and compassionate ultrasound professional who is passionate about delivering patient-centered, judgment-free care within a collaborative, team-based model.As a Sonographer at Oula, you will provide high-quality obstetric and gynecologic imaging services while working closely with midwives, obstetricians, maternal fetal medicine (MFM) specialists, and clinical staff to support comprehensive perinatal care. You will play a key role in delivering a supportive, inclusive, and empowering ultrasound experience for patients.This is a 0.5 FTE position (20 hours/week), scheduled for 6-hour shifts on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The hourly rate for this role is $47.32.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations, including:Nuchal Translucency (NT) scansCervical length assessmentsBiophysical Profiles (BPPs)Detailed fetal anatomy scansPelvic and transvaginal ultrasoundsEnsure high-quality diagnostic imaging and make necessary technical adjustmentsEvaluate images for clarity and completeness prior to provider reviewCommunicate preliminary findings to supervising physicians or remote MFM specialists in accordance with protocolEducate patients about ultrasound procedures and answer questions with clarity and empathyPosition patients safely and comfortably during examinationsMaintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical recordMaintain, clean, and troubleshoot sonography equipmentSupport additional ultrasonography-related duties as neededPatient Experience & CollaborationDeliver a best-in-class ultrasound experience grounded in compassionate, patient-centered careCommunicate clearly and professionally with patients across diverse backgroundsCollaborate closely with midwives, OB/GYNs, MFMs, nurses, and clinic staffContribute to a respectful, inclusive, and supportive team cultureSupport Oula's mission to improve maternity care through evidence-based practice, technology, and patient empowermentAbout YouARDMS certified (required)Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification requiredMinimum 5+ years of hands-on experience performing obstetric ultrasounds, including detailed anatomy scansExperience with pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound preferredExperience in an OB/GYN or maternal-fetal medicine clinical setting preferredStrong technical proficiency and attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to explain technical information in a clear, patient-friendly mannerComfortable working independently while collaborating within an interdisciplinary care teamStrong analytical, judgment, and decision-making skillsCommitted to delivering culturally respectful, patient-centered careOula's Commitment as an Equal Opportunity Employer:We want you to know: You can be a great candidate even if you don't fit everything we've described above.
