COVR Cardiovascular OR Tech - Charlotte, NC

An opportunity is available for a skilled CVOR Surgical Technologist with experience in adult cardiovascular operating room procedures. This contract position offers the chance to work in a high-acuity medical environment known for advanced cardiac and vascular care. Located in Charlotte, NC, this role is set in a premier healthcare setting with over 900 licensed beds and distinguished recognitions including Level 1 Trauma and Pediatric Trauma designations, as well as Magnet status. The facility serves as a teaching hospital and is home to specialized centers such as a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center, making it a hub for complex surgical care. Key Role Functions: Assist in Adult Cardiovascular, Thoracic, and Vascular surgeries within 7 dedicated ORs Support procedures in Cath Lab and EP Lab Work independently with minimal guidance in high-pressure situations Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Clinical Supervisors, Charge RNs, Anesthesia, and OR assistants Utilize EMR systems such as EPIC, and manage equipment like Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensers Participate in weekend rotations, call duties, and occasional night shifts with a 1-hour callback expectation Qualifications and Desired Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in Adult CVOR surgical technology preferred BLS certification required; additional certifications are a plus but not mandatory Experience with robotic surgery and hybrid OR cases is advantageous Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a proactive approach to patient care Work Schedule and Benefits: Call schedule includes one night per week and two weekends every six weeks Sleep rooms available for on-call shifts Free parking provided Department offers excellent peer and supervisor support with an engaging unit culture About Charlotte, NC: Charlotte is a vibrant, growing city renowned for its dynamic cultural scene, diverse dining options, and sprawling parks.
