A skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist is needed for a contract position in Decatur, GA. This role engages with a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics, providing critical imaging services that support diagnostic and treatment decisions. Candidates will operate a suite of advanced nuclear medicine equipment and systems within a fast-paced hospital environment. Location Overview: Decatur, GA, is a vibrant city that offers a blend of urban living with a welcoming community atmosphere. Responsibilities: Perform nuclear medicine imaging using systems such as Xceleris processing, Fuji Synapse 5 PACS, and Philips Skylight. Utilize specialized equipment including AtomLab960 Thyroid Probe, Capintec dose calibrators, and LudLum and Bicron survey meters. Manage patient care for a patient mix from adolescents to geriatrics, ensuring safety and comfort. Participate in call rotation one week per month, covering evenings on weekdays and extended hours on weekends. Float within the facility as required, staying within the scope of practice. Maintain full compliance with clinical protocols and hospital policies. Work a schedule of four 10-hour day shifts (06:00 - 17:30) per week. Qualifications / Desired Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist; applicants with less experience will not be considered. Certifications required: BLS, ARRT-R, NMTCB. Proficiency with multiple imaging and diagnostic systems such as Xceleris, Fuji Synapse 5, Epic, and Siemens Symbia Evo. Familiarity with hospital information systems including Epic and PACS. Ability to work alternating weekends and holidays as assigned. Willingness to meet strict compliance requirements and undergo clinical screening. Additional Details: Call requirements include weekday and weekend coverage, with defined hours after regular shifts and during weekends. Holidays may be scheduled based on assignment timing, with expectations to work the majority of major holidays during the contract. Orientation hours vary based on contract length.
