Interim Director of Pharmacy - Behavioral Health

Job Title: Interim Director of Pharmacy - Behavioral Health Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM + On-Call Start: ASAP Specialty Medical Staffing is currently hiring an Interim Director of Pharmacy / PIC for a behavioral health hospital in the Bethlehem, PA area. This position is ideal for an experienced pharmacist with inpatient experience who is comfortable leading pharmacy operations in a behavioral health setting. This role includes both operational leadership and staffing responsibilities, including supporting the setup and development of pharmacy processes within the facility. Assignment Details Start: ASAP Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM On-call: Required Weekend Coverage: Order verification from home at 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM (approximately one hour each time) System: Epic (training provided onsite) Automation: Omnicell (experience preferred, training available) Setting: Behavioral Health Hospital Key Responsibilities Serve as Director of Pharmacy Perform pharmacist staffing duties including order verification and dispensing oversight Support pharmacy operations including medication ordering and Omnicell stocking Attend leadership and operational meetings Assist with new pharmacy program development, including policies and initial setup Maintain compliance with regulatory and hospital standards Requirements Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License Inpatient pharmacy experience required Behavioral health experience preferred Ability to work independently and support pharmacy program development Benefits of Working with Specialty Medical Staffing Highly competitive pay Weekly direct deposit Full medical benefits available Award-winning support staff Dedicated recruiter support Pre-Employment Requirements Background check and drug screen Health screenings and immunization verification (TB, MMR) Pennsylvania compliance clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, PA State Clearance, FBI fingerprints) License verification and primary source verification Resume and professional references Mandated reporter training and HIPAA Code of conduct review and signed attestation Want to learn more about what it is like to work for SMS?
