Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC) has an outstanding opportunity for a Per Diem CT Ultrasonographer to join the Radiology Team and work alongside some of the best medical providers in Philadelphia. Summary: Independently performs all ultrasound exams per site protocols and assists Radiologists and Surgeons with ultrasound-guided procedures. Responsible for patient safety and functions as the first-line interface with patients to successfully accomplish their imaging needs. Must have working knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and represent the department as a skilled competent professional. Responsibilities:• Operates and maintains ultrasound units; communicates equipment problems and image quality issues. • Performs high-level disinfection of Ultrasound probes when indicated; maintains required documentation. • Prepares and stocks ultrasound rooms and maintains cleanliness of area. • Greets patient, verifies with 2 identifiers; interviews and screens patient before exam; explains procedures to the patient. • Responsible for patient safety. • Educates and instructs other healthcare providers in the use of specialized equipment, new procedures, and new concepts. • Efficiently operates all computer information systems used to coordinate patient care including EPIC and SECTRA. Completes case documentation and billing in a timely fashion. • Completes mandatory continuing educational requirements and attends all mandatory in-services and staff meetings to maintain competency training. • Represents the Department and Hospital as a skilled, competent professional. • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and proceduresMinimum Requirements:H.S.
