About the Role:As an Optometric Technician, you'll play a key role in delivering an outstanding patient experience. You'll guide patients through the pre-testing process, helping assess their visual abilities before they meet with the doctor. Your skills, efficiency, and care will make a meaningful impact on every visit. Optometric Technician essential duties and responsibilities include: Customer reception and service. Maintain patient records, schedule appointments, collect payments and filing. Obtain Insurance information and authorization, including referrals. Facilitate Insurance and patient billing and collection. Prepares patient for vision examination and assist with testing and documentation. Instruct patient in care and use of contact lenses. Order contact lenses for individual patients. Maintain contact lens and medical product inventory. Promote contact lens and eye product sales. Maintain cleanliness and overall appearance of office. Participate in continuing education. Optometric Technician required skills & qualifications include: High School Diploma or GED required Experience in a professional setting a must The ability to connect well with patients Works well with a team Tech-savvy; typing capabilities Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment Optometric Technician experience preferred Apply Now Type: Full Time (Hourly)
