American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) with 2+ years of full-lifespan experience for a 12-hour night shift position at a Level 1 Trauma Center and Magnet-designated teaching hospital in Libertyville, IL.Job Details• Respiratory Therapy Services - Pulmonary unit at a 273-bed Level 1 Trauma Center, Level II NICU, Magnet-designated primary stroke center and teaching hospital in Libertyville, IL,• Patient population spans full lifespan: neonates through geriatric respiratory patients,• 1:1 patient ratios,• 12-hour night shifts beginning at 6:00 PM, 36 hours per week,• Weekend rotation every other weekend,• Holiday coverage based on facility needs,• No on-call or call-back requirements,• Floating possible to other hospitals within the Patient Service Area (PSA),• Charting system: Epic (experience required),• Ventilators: PB840, PB980, Servo-U, and Hamilton,• CPAP/BiPAP: V60, ResMed, and RemStar,• Additional equipment: Optiflow and Hamilton transport vents,• Free parking available on site,Job Requirements• Active RRT or CRT credential required,• Active IL respiratory therapy license required if applicable,• Minimum 2 years of experience covering the full patient lifespan (pediatric, adult, and geriatric),• Critical care experience required,• Epic EMR experience required,• Proficiency in tracheostomy care, nitrous oxide procedures, proning techniques, ECMO, spontaneous breathing trials, ventilator-associated pneumonia prevention, and ABG draws,• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (AHA) required - PALS and NRP must be in hand at time of consideration,• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN,• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration,Additional Information• First-time travelers will be considered on a case-by-case basis,• Orientation consists of 1 day on the unit,• Supervised by a unit supervisor,• Charcoal gray scrubs required
