HSE policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with organizational goals.Develop long-term strategic goals and objectives to foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.Provide strong leadership to HSE managers and teams, ensuring they are equipped to implement effective safety programs.Collaborate with senior management to integrate health, safety, and environmental strategies into the company's overall business operations.Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:Ensure the company complies with all local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as industry standards.Monitor and manage the organization's exposure to environmental, health, and safety risks through risk assessments and audits.Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes, adapting the company's policies and procedures as needed.Ensure that appropriate documentation is maintained for regulatory inspections, audits, and certifications.Incident and Accident Investigation:Oversee the investigation of all incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with investigation protocols and risk mitigation.HSE Training and Awareness:Develop and implement ongoing training programs to ensure employees are properly educated on safety and environmental procedures.Foster a proactive safety culture by regularly communicating safety messages and engaging employees in safety initiatives.Promote awareness of HSE best practices, safety policies, and environmental considerations through various channels such as meetings, workshops, and bulletins.Environmental Sustainability:Oversee the organization's environmental programs to minimize its environmental footprint, including waste management, energy usage, and resource conservation.Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and work towards continuous environmental improvement initiatives.Coordinate with other departments to implement sustainable practices throughout the organization's operations.Reporting and Continuous Improvement:Provide regular reports and analysis of HSE performance, including accident and incident trends, safety audits, and environmental metrics.Use data and feedback to drive continuous improvement efforts in health, safety, and environmental performance.Lead the development of HSE-related key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of programs.Budget and Resource Management:Manage the HSE department's budget, ensuring cost-effective implementation of safety and environmental programs.Allocate resources for HSE initiatives, including equipment, training, and personnel.Ensure the availability of proper safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) across all operational areas.Stakeholder Engagement:Liaise with government agencies, industry groups, and external contractors to promote the company's commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., operations, HR, facilities management) to integrate HSE into day-to-day operations.Qualifications and Education RequirementsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience strongly preferred.Professional certifications in MSHA46 and MSHA48 required.Experience:Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Extensive experience developing and implementing HSE programs, managing teams, and leading HSE strategy across large or multi-site organizations.Proven track record in risk management, regulatory compliance, and incident investigation.Skills and Knowledge:In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).Strong understanding of industry best practices, safety management systems, and sustainability initiatives.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and using safety management software.Proficient in injury case managementOther:Ability to travel to different sites as required.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.Physical
