ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders. PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research.GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Responsible and accountable for the development, coordination, and supervision of all pharmaceutical services. Oversees facilities compliance with all Federal and State laws regarding pharmaceuticals. Acts to ensure patient safety and inventory control. Provides reports and maintains pharmacy licenses and permits while holding best practices in areas regarding pharmacy issues. Local daily travel in personal vehicle to various facilities required in Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties. Addiction and/or mental health experience preferred.SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Knowledge of State and Federal pharmacy laws and regulationsKnowledge of cost effective measures in inventory controlKnowledge of best practices in substance abuse and mental health pharmaceutical usesKnowledge of pharmacology to include the initiation, selection and the modification of selected drug regimenAbility to establish and maintain effective positive, productive working relationships with other employees and the publicAbility to respond in a courteous, pleasant manner and provide in-service educationAbility to develop quality standards and reports and the ability to function independentlyLICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS:Valid driver's licenseActive and clear Consultant Pharmacist licenseMust pass level II background (and drug screen.Must maintain current training as required by Operation PAR, Inc. policiesESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS:Ability to write accurately and legiblyModerate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows-based computersAbility to accurately type at least 40 words per minute.Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time• Ability to bend, stoop and reach• Ability to sit in meetings for extended periods of timeAbility to move throughout program facilities both indoors and outdoors• Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds• Good hearing and vision(Reasonable accommodations will be made for otherwise qualified individuals with a disability.)ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:Treatment program / hospital environmentExposure to individuals who may be experiencing emotional distress or agitationPossible exposure to clients with communicable diseases
