Apprentice Ophthalmic Technician

Under the supervision of the physicians, the Ophthalmic Technician assists the physicians in their patients' eye examinations and procedures. Duties include performing workups of patients, various vision tests, collecting medical data, monitoring and maintaining patient flow, scribing, and assisting physicians with various procedures; as well as assisting with various administrative duties.General Job Duties:Gathering medical records and patient informationTaking ocular measurements, both anatomical and functionalPreparing and administering medicationsProviding eye care information to patientsMaintaining and cleaning ophthalmic instruments and equipmentAssisting the ophthalmologist in basic proceduresRequirements Verbal and written communication skills Professional personal presentation Customer service oriented Organization and planning skills Attention to detail Initiative Reliability Ability to multi-taskSalary Description $14.00 to $16.00 an hour
