Perform airway clearance therapies, including percussion, vibration, positive expiratory pressure, and high-frequency chest wall oscillation. Manage airway procedures such as suctioning, tracheostomy care, manual ventilation, and ventilator system checks. Support high-risk pediatric deliveries with surfactant administration, NRP protocols, and intubations. Conduct blood gas sampling and interpretation to guide respiratory treatment plans. Deliver humidity therapy using heated aerosols and HME devices. Follow clinical practice guidelines for conditions including asthma, cystic fibrosis, and acute chest syndrome. Monitor respiratory status with pulse oximetry, capnography, ventilator graphics, and spontaneous breathing trials. Assist with patient transport requiring advanced respiratory support. Operate oxygen and special gas therapy equipment, including nitric oxide therapy calibration and troubleshooting. Maintain and clean respiratory equipment to ensure safety and effectiveness. Qualifications / Desired Experience: Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. Pediatric respiratory therapy experience preferred.
