ABOUT STRM.BIOSTRM.BIO (pronounced "storm bio") is a VC-backed biotech startup building a new kind of gene therapy delivery platform based on naturally occurring extracellular vesicles (EVs). We're here to do great science and build a company we're proud of.THE OPPORTUNITYWe're looking for Research Associates to help grow our research engine. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with technical leadership and a team of Scientists to support key programs and facilitate external collaborations. This is a hands-on, highly cross-functional role ideal for someone who's ready to dive in and execute in equal measure. This is a full-time, on-site role.WHAT YOU'LL DO (Key Responsibilities) Support the Research Team in efforts across multiple collaborative research programsContribute to R&D efforts to meet project milestones, maintaining the standards of scientific rigor and adhering to ethical standardsMaintain standards consistent with company culture and valuesWork closely with team members to maintain project development, implementation and troubleshooting of experimentsGenerate, analyze, and share experimental results and ensure that all protocols, reagents, data, and analyses are documented following data integrity principles and prepared and made available in a timely mannerAttend team meetings to discuss results, future plans and experiments, with a keenness to help achieve company milestonesMaintain comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of molecular and cellular biology techniquesPerform other duties as assigned, including all those associated with facilitating the smooth operation of a wet lab environmentMaintain accurate records in electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) and contribute to documentation for internal reports and regulatory filingsAttend regular EHS meetings and maintain accurate biologic and chemical recordsWHAT YOU BRING (Required Qualifications)B.S. or M.S. in biology, immunology, bioengineering, or related fieldSome prior industry experience is strongly preferred Familiarity with gene-editing technologies (e.g., CRISPR, TALEN, ZFNs) and delivery platforms (e.g., viral vectors, LNPs, exosomes)Previous involvement in in vivo studies or willingness to learn animal handling and vivarium protocolsStrong organizational and communication skills, with comfort operating in interdisciplinary project teamsPrior experience with CRO collaboration or CMC workflows is a bonusKEY POSITION DETAILS100% on-site in Cambridge, MAFull time with competitive compensationThe salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including, without limitation, individual education, experience, tenure, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data, including potential adjustments for geographic location.
