We are seeking a skilled DEXA Technologist to join our Radiology / Cardiology team in an adult outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have experience performing bone density (DEXA) scans and a strong understanding of radiation safety and patient care protocols. This role involves operating DEXA equipment, ensuring accurate imaging, and collaborating with healthcare providers to support diagnostic and preventive care.Candidates do not need a separate DEXA license; however, they must hold an active ARRT, RT (R) through OBMI and have DEXA (Bone Density) experience.ResponsibilitiesPerform DEXA (bone density) scans for diagnostic evaluation of bone health.Prepare and position patients correctly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.Operate GE DEXA imaging equipment safely and efficiently.Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.Apply infection prevention practices and isolation precautions as required.Review images for quality and accuracy before submission for interpretation.Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the charting system.Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure effective patient care.Years of Experience: 1+ year(s)Skills REQ: DEXA (Bone Density) Imaging, Radiation Safety, Patient Positioning, Outpatient ImagingCertifications:Required: ARRT, RT (R), BLS, OBMIPreferred: ARRT - Bone DensitometryCharting System: Preferred, EpicWork Setting: Adult OutpatientEquipment: GE DEXA Imaging EquipmentAdditional SkillsHands-on experience performing DEXA (Bone Density) scansStrong understanding of bone density imaging protocolsExcellent patient care and communication skillsAbility to ensure accurate imaging and maintain detailed documentationStrong attention to safety and compliance standardsShift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:00)Job Type: ContractPay: $47.32 per hourWork Location: In personBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insuranceVision insurance
