Our infant classroom focuses on providing a calm, secure, and engaging environment where babies can develop trust, curiosity, and early learning skills. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys nurturing infants, supporting daily routines, and partnering with families during a child's earliest milestones. What You'll Do * Provide responsive, nurturing care for infants in a safe and structured classroom setting * Support daily routines including feeding, diapering, naps, and individualized schedules * Engage infants in sensory activities, music, movement, and early language exposure * Observe and support physical, emotional, and cognitive development * Communicate consistently with families about daily activities and developmental progress * Maintain a clean, organized classroom that meets all health and safety standards * Work collaboratively with co-teachers and leadership to ensure high-quality care What We're Looking For * High school diploma or GED required * Minimum 6 months of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or daycare setting (1 year preferred) * CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus * Understanding of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices * CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) * Must meet all Michigan childcare licensing requirements Why Join Us * Competitive pay: $16-$18/hr * Consistent weekday schedule * Supportive, team-oriented environment * Employee childcare discount * Paid training and professional development * Opportunities for growth within The Learning Experience network Apply today to join The Learning Experience - South Lyon and help give infants a strong, loving start during their most important developmental stage.
