Therapist will provide clinical insight and work from a trauma informed lens to enhance the milieu and programming. Engage with families through family therapy and treatment planning. Collaborate with the community and providers related to the youth's progress and discharge planning.Responsibilities:Creates and drives a trauma-informed environmentCollaboration with youth and family to work with a team and develop a Nexus Individual and Family Guidance PlanEngage in and have active involvement of the Family Collaborative Intake meetingsComplete Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) functional assessment in accordance with the TCOM (collaborative) principalsProvide brief, individualized, youth-focused, strength and evidenced-based family and individual therapy models with youth and families.Participate in all youth related treatment team meetingsAssess readiness for discharge in conjunction with the treatment teamCoordinate/communicate aftercare needs of the client with family and all necessary social service and community providers to ensure a smooth transitionCommunicate with the treatment team to include all desired and necessary family members, educational, legal, community, and social service providers (as well as all-natural supports that the youth and family identify) to gather all necessary information to inform and support the treatment processEnsures that all required client reports, records, and all documentation are produced accurately and maintained in a consistent, timely, and professional manner according to policy and regulated statutes.RequirementsRequired Education and Licensure:Master's degree in one of the behavioral sciences, human services, social work, marriage & family therapy, psychology, counseling, or clinically related fields1 years of adolescent counseling and/or residential experiencePrevious experience with trauma treatment and experience serving a culturally diverse populationIf currently unlicensed and clinical licensure is required in your state: Must be on track to complete licensure for a specific, related discipline And/or currently holds a provisional/intermediary license for a specific track (i.e. LGSW, LMSW, LAMFT or LPC) In Illinois: Must have or be willing to obtain an LASOP license within 3 months of hire.Valid driver's license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Nexus Home Office driving requirements Must successfully pass an IL DCFS criminal background check.
