How you'll serve our patients: The NY Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon will deliver high-quality surgical and non-surgical aesthetic care with a strong emphasis on post-bariatric body contouring. Total compensation is determined based on experience and credentials.Mix of OR, inpatient, outpatient, and clinicMix of Reconstructive & Cosmetic SurgeryPerform a broad range of plastic and reconstructive proceduresPost-bariatric body contouringAesthetic procedures (injectables, laser treatments, facial plastics optional based on candidate skillset)Skin excisions and reconstructive surgery as indicatedPartner with bariatric team to support comprehensive pre- and post-surgical planning and patient careParticipate in multidisciplinary case reviews and care-coordination workflowsConduct initial consultations, treatment planning, and post-operative careEducate patients on expectations, recovery, risks, and outcomesContribute to the development and growth of our plastics subsidiary, including brand development, service line expansion, and marketing initiativesMaintain accurate clinical documentation, adhering to regulatory and quality standardsProvide an exceptional patient experience rooted in safety, empathy, and aesthetic excellenceEducation, Licensure or Certification:MD or DO degree from an accredited medical schoolBoard-certified or board-eligible in Plastic & Reconstructive SurgeryActive or eligible medical license in the state Fellowship training in aesthetic or body-contouring (preferred but not required)Experience with massive weight-loss body contouring strongly preferredStrong commitment to patient care, safety, and outcome excellenceWork Experience or Related Experience:1–2 years of post-residency experience in plastic and/or reconstructive surgery preferredSpecialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.A sound understanding of patient aftercare and wound management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and impeccable bedside manner.The ability to be proactive and self-directed utilizing good time management, decision-making, and organization skills is required. Incumbents must be able to prioritize multiple tasksMust have the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentEntrepreneurial spirit and interest in growing a surgical service line
