Behavior Support Specialist JobID: 15028 Position Type: Non-Certified Student Support Services Date Posted: 3/24/2026 Location: Student and Family Engagement Department District:   Waterford School District  Additional Information: Show/Hide Position: Behavior Support Specialist (10 month position) Location: Multiple Buildings Minimum Qualifications: * Associates and/or Bachelor's Degree recommended; or equivalent applicable experience * Experience with behavior intervention techniques * Trained in or willing to be trained in non-violent crisis interventions * Excellent communication skills * Ability to problem solve Essential Functions: * Able to assist with the development and implementation of classroom and individual behavior plans * Able to deescalate student who are in a state of crisis * Meet with students whose behavior warrants intervention and develop individualized behavior tracking and intervention programs * Work with staff on issues such as: crisis intervention, learning and collaboration issues, and factors that can affect development and implementation of interventions * Maintain timely and accurate records and files consistent with department policies and procedures * Able to provide one on one support to students * Able to provide group support to students * Maintains strong communication with families and staff Reports To: Behavior Support Leader Workday/Week: Monday - Friday 7 hours per day Starting Date: TBD Compensation: $22.12 per hour Posting Date: January 12, 2026 Posting Deadline: Until Filled Internal and external candidates may apply by visiting and selecting the icon "Employment" and next, "Job Postings Directory".
