Adult Peer Support Specialist Job Summary: The Adult Peer Support Specialist provides recovery-oriented, person-centered support to adults experiencing a behavioral health crisis and to those transitioning from crisis to stabilization. Using lived experience and formal peer support skills, the Peer Support Specialist offers hope, practical coping strategies, and assistance navigating services and natural supports. This role collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary crisis team to promote safety, engagement, and continuity of care while maintaining clear boundaries and confidentiality.We have openings to serve Butler County or Warren and Clinton Counties! Responsibilities: Utilize shared lived experience with adults utilizing Crisis ServicesWork with a clinical team to engage crisis clients in recommended servicesServe as a liaison and advocate for caregivers in need of peer support with Crisis servicesBuild and maintain relationships and good communication with other service providers and supports in the communityHelp clients and their families mobilize and use social supports and community resourcesComplete documentation within required time framesActively participate as a positive team member in the Crisis DepartmentMaintain proficiency in use of electronic health record systemAbides by the Agency Policies and ProceduresRequirements: Have lived experience with behavioral health challenges and/or mental health diagnosis(es)High School Diploma requiredStrong communication and engagement skillsAbility to drive to other work locations and within the communityValid driver's license, clean driving record and auto insurance requiredFlexible schedule with evening availabilityCompensation & Benefits:The role is part-time, hourly non-exempt position.
