Position OverviewThe Community Psychiatric Supports and Treatment (CPST) Specialist provides targeted, goal'oriented behavioral health services to children/youth and their families. This role delivers face'to'face support-primarily with the child/youth-and engages families, caregivers, and other collateral supports to address behavioral health needs. The CPST Specialist is responsible for providing three core CPST service components: rehabilitative psychoeducation, strengths-based service planning, and rehabilitative supports. Provide Rehabilitative Psychoeducation: Help youth and families understand symptoms, stressors, and treatment strategies to reduce the impact of behavioral health challenges on daily functioning, academics, employment, housing stability, finances, relationships, and community involvement. Conduct Strengths-Based Service Planning: Support youth and families in identifying strengths, needs, resources, and natural supports, and in developing personalized goals and objectives to overcome functional limitations. Deliver Rehabilitative Supports: Offer restorative services aimed at minimizing the functional effects of emotional disturbances or behavioral health symptoms. Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a rapidly changing service environment. Use professional judgment, initiative, and creative problem-solving in all interactions. Anticipate and respond to customer needs by providing high-quality support to clients, families, visitors, colleagues, and community partners. Complete all documentation and billing in a timely and accurate manner. Provide services across various settings-including site-based, home, and community locations-in compliance with state practice laws. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.Qualifications1. Practitioners with a bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years of applicable experience in children's mental health, addiction, and/or foster care/child welfare/juvenile justice OR who has been certified in an Evidenced Based Practice. These practitioners include: Registered Professional Nurses with one year of behavioral health experience, Licensed Occupational Therapists, and Licensed Creative Arts Therapists to the extent they are operating under the scope of their license.2. Practitioners with a master's degree level in social work, psychology, or in related human services plus one year of applicable experience OR who has been certified in an Evidenced Based Practice.3. Valid state Driver's License
