Our aim is to eliminate barriers in the patient journey, accelerate recovery, delight customers, and reduce cost of care.About the OpportunityMendaera is looking for a Senior Clinical Engineer to help define product requirements and conduct testing to demonstrate safe and effective use of the company's products and services. The position is part of the Product team and will collaborate closely with Commercial and Engineering Teams. The annual salary range for this role is $173,000 - $200,000. About YouWe are looking for candidates who: thrive in fast-paced environments; embrace ambiguity; can create frameworks and work product from scratch; are able to level between micro and macro analysis; possess critical and system thinking ability; are detail oriented.Senior Clinical Engineer responsibilities include:Develop in-depth clinical knowledge of clinical anatomies, procedures, and environments for which the company's products and services are to be used Become an expert on the clinical use of the Mendaera product and support use of the Mendaera product at clinical sites Collaborate with Commercial teams to build out clinical onboarding and utilization pathwaysLead customer discovery efforts to uncover unmet clinical needs, identify pain points, and translate insights into product, training, and commercial strategyUnderstand user needs and work with cross-functional teams to translate user and business requirements into design requirements and specificationsCollaborate with engineering to drive clinical input into product design and development Develop test methods, models, and metrics to assess clinical performance and usability of company's products Assess and document clinical risks, and identify appropriate mitigationsOwn and deliver Clinical Engineering team deliverables throughout the project's lifecycleAuthor protocols, execute testing, and report results for preclinical, usability, and validation studies for regulatory submissionDefine and document procedure workflows associated with use of the company's productsDesired skills and experience:Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and independent, with excellent analytical capabilityHigh emotional intelligence and ability to build and manage diverse relationshipsDemonstrated strong executive presence and credibility in interactions with external stakeholdersDemonstrated experience collaborating with technical partnersDemonstrated experience performing preclinical, usability, and validation studies for regulatory submissionStrong written and verbal communication skills; highly-effective presentation skillsVersatility and ability to operate in a small-team environmentStrong technical background; advanced technical degree preferredAt least 3 years of work experience in the medical device industryWork Expectations:Ability to travel for user engagements (clinical sites, conferences)Comfort working with preclinical tissue models
