We're Hiring at RHD!Certified Peer Specialist$17.38/hrProgram: ACT KentLocation: Kent CountyStatus: Full-Time - 40 hoursSchedule: M-F 8a-4p with on-call responsibilitiesABOUT THE ROLEThe Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) provides peer-based recovery support services to individuals in mental health recovery. Drawing on lived experience and professional training, the CPS supports individuals in regaining control over their recovery journey through education, advocacy, skill development, and connection to natural and community supports. The program employs master's and bachelor's-level counselors, a registered nurse, a substance abuse specialist, a vocational specialist, a psychiatrist/APN, a peer support specialist, and program assistant. Team members work together with clients to promote symptom stability and appropriate use of medication; restore personal, community living, and social skills; promote and maintain physical health; establish access to entitlements, housing, work, and social opportunities; and promote and maintain the highest possible level of functioning in the community. This program is funded by and part of the system of public services offered by Delaware DSAMH.
