Location: Aurora, Illinois Business Unit: Rush Medical Group Hospital: Rush Copley Medical Center Department: Psychiatry Adult Work Type: Full Time Psychiatry- Physician Rush Copley Medical Center Aurora, IL Rush Copley Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, invites applications for the position of Inpatient and Outpatient Psychiatrist to be primarily located at Rush Copley Medical Center. Clinical & Academic Responsibilities * This role is a balanced 0.50/0.50 FTE hybrid position, designed for a physician who values both acute consultative work and outpatient care. * Inpatient Services (0.50 FTE): Provide expert psychiatric consultation and stabilization within the Emergency Department, general medical-surgical floors, and the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). * Outpatient Care (0.50 FTE): Manage a diverse clinical portfolio within our outpatient practice, focusing on evidence-based treatment for a broad range of psychiatric disorders. * Academic Engagement: As a member of the faculty, the successful candidate is required to participate in Departmental Grand Rounds, contributing to the ongoing education and clinical discourse of the RUSH community. * Specialized Focus: We highly value candidates with interest or experience in Consultation-Liaison (C-L), Emergency Psychiatry, and Addiction Psychiatry. Qualifications & Requirements * Education: Medical degree (MD/DO) and completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency. * Board Status: American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) Board Certified or Board Eligible. * Clinical Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of dedicated inpatient psychiatric experience (post-residency/fellowship preferred), demonstrating a strong clinical background in managing complex, high-acuity cases. * Licensure: Must possess or be eligible for a permanent Illinois medical license and controlled substance registration. * Residency: Must reside within 45 minutes of Rush Copley Medical Center Rush University System for Health is an academic health system integrating patient care, education, research, and community partnerships to improve health in diverse communities. Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances.
