Work Location: Irving, TexasWork Hours: PRN Shift Every Saturday 7:30am-1:00pm and As Needed during the week and holidays.The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.Department/Center Highlights:Strong Team CollaborationRated Great Place to Work 4 Years in a Row!PTO and Benefits start on Day 1Here is what you will need: Texas Medical Board License - TMBCurrent ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic TechnologyContinuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU's every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.A Day in the Life of a Mammography Technologist: Provide services and support for the following areas:Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis WayAbility to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;Consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique; Performs other work-related duties as assigned.The Mammography Technologist is expected to practice safe procedures and adheres to radiation safety measures under the supervision of the Radiology supervisor or the Radiologist. Specific duties may include but are not limited to:Complete patient education regarding the examPerform diagnostic or screening mammogram as orderedPrepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.Why Solis Mammography?
